Just ponder your life for a moment and see if you can’t catch that flicker in time, those still shots of almost perfect moments. Come on, I know you have them. Your heart skips a beat when the feeling of that memory sneaks in and reminds you just how wonderful your life is.

Try stringing them together in a necklace and wear it as often as you can because the best parts of life are so often forgotten. They shouldn’t be.

We see the kindnesses of God in those instances. I believe God calls us to remember them so we can give testimony of how good He is, not just how good life is.

On Sunday, I sat in church surrounded my two daughters, their husbands, my husband, and our seven blessings from the Lord. We sang songs of praise. We sat in quiet moments and reflected on Him, and then, when my son-in-law, Bret, got up to preach, he handed me our newest grand-daughter to nuzzle, and I had one of those moments in time, where life was miraculous and blessed and God met me. He said, “It is good.” He didn’t let me miss this priceless moment of peace and goodness. Life is fleeting-like a vapor; so are incredible moments. But they can be remembered.

I say fleeting because I only had her for a few loved minutes when she woke up and hollered to be fed; and only her mommy could do that. I handed her over and, even though she was right next me, nursing under a cover, I missed her.

But we had our moment. I smelled her sweet head, kissed her beautiful face, and petted her full head of hair and then held her as close as possible.

It was probably my fault she woke up with all that petting and nuzzling, and I’m a very noisy kisser. Oh well, I will hold her again, but I will not forget that precious moment, in church, with most of my family around me, cuddling my new precious Patience.

How good God is!! Let’s not forget where all good things come from! Help me remember and be grateful.
